The Great North Swim Event takes place in Windermere in June. There are options for several different swim distances as well as some Swim-Run events. You can see all of the events to choose from on their website. Please select which distance/event you would like to do on the Saturday. Try to select from the race time slots listed below so that you will be with the other members of our group. If those time slots are no longer available, please book the next time available.

Lake District Open Water Event Weekend June 2026 £370 - deposit £150
To secure your space on this retreat we require a non refundable £150 deposit. The balance is due 8 weeks prior to the retreat and you will receive a reminder. Once the balance is due & a reminder has been sent, you have 7 days to make this payment. Once the balance has been paid it is non-refundable.
If the trip is not able to go ahead in 2026 due to reasons outside of our control, We would move the trip forward by one year to the same dates or as close as possible. In this instance, you will have the option of a refund or to transfer the monies paid to the same retreat the following year, or to a different Pretty Gritty retreat with availability. Please bear in mind that the initial deposit is non-refundable if it is you that decides to cancel.
It is advisable to have a travel insurance policy that covers you for cancellation, for example if you are unable to join us on the retreat due to illness. Please provide us with your emergency contact details prior to our departure & inform us of any health conditions that may affect your ability to participate in any activities on the retreat. Your safety is of the utmost importance to us. Some of the activities such as wild swimming come with a degree of risk. Therefore we will send you a disclaimer to sign ahead of the retreat.
