Our Pretty Gritty 'Hike to Camp Adventure'

Following the successful sign-up of 2026's camping trip, we have added some 2027 dates into the calendar.

For this one night hiking trip we will set out from Ilkley, West Yorkshire.

Meeting mid morning on the 18th June all of your camping equipment will be collected from our meeting point and will be transported to our overnight campsite, meaning you will only need to walk with a day pack. 

Bring your picnic or buy one in Ilkley and enjoy a hike of approximately 9 miles across beautiful moorland. 

On arrival at Draughton Heights campsite, you can put up your tent which will have been delivered here. 

You can spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing or you may choose to swim in one of the lakes before getting ready for your sauna session with Löyly & Jää.

The group will enjoy a 'camp cook up' by Emma and Katie in the evening.

The next day you will pack up your tent & overnight bag and this will be collected and returned to Ilkley in time for our arrival there early afternoon.

After breakfast, we will  set off to walk a different route back to our start point, this time following the river.

Please note -The routes will follow rugged and at times, hilly terrain. Please ensure that the distance is suitable for your fitness level.

Costs

£125 per person. Includes the transport of your own camping equipment, guided hikes, overnight campsite pitch for a small tent, the sauna and dipping session, evening meal and breakfast. 

It does not include lunch or snacks.

If you do not own a suitable tent and equipment, you can hire a tent, aor and sleeping bag from us at a charge of £30. Please email us at info@prettygritty.co.uk to arrange this. 

If your tent is larger than a two man tent, there may be a supplement to pay with the campsite.
