This might be your first time at attempting to run 5 km non-stop.
This is an 8 week PDF running plan for you to download:just long enough to get into a groove but not long enough to feel that it the length of time is becoming too arduous.
You will start slowly and build up your running time carefully so that you don't become injured. You may run regularly within a week, but the runs will be short in duration.
Typically you will have sessions that range from 20 to 40 mins. Sessions can be done outside or on a treadmill. We will start with a tried and tested run/walk strategy.
There will be optional cross training sessions where you will change the emphasis on the muscles used in training as well as S and C sessions to follow along to in the form of videos.
If your level of fitness is low, don't worry as there are no paces you need to hit. All sessions are based on rate of perceived effort. You will receive how to do this in the information provided within your pack.
