Sneak Peak Review of Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2009

The who’s who of the fashion world is always keen to be a visitor at one of the most talked about fashion shows – the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Known to produce classic undergarments and lingerie that are preferred by celebrities and commoners alike across the globe, this fashion show is also famous for its designer sets, lovely music and also for the celebrities that are a part of the show. Another striking aspect of this fashion show is what is termed as “angel wings” where every model sashays down the ramp wearing butterfly, angel’s and even devil’s wings.

Aired for the first time in 1999, Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was an instant hit drawing more than 1.5 million viewers. Every year the fashion designers try to introduce something different in their shows. If the fashion show in 2005 became a hit because of its Russian theme and act of Chris Botti, the 2006 show was ultra sexy and spectacular thanks to the presence of Selita Ebanks.

Here are some highlights of Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show held in New York literally after a gap of 4 years:

· This year’s fashion show will be remembered for the svelte post pregnancy body of German super model Heidi Klum. The proud mother of four kids could surely consider penning down her experiences of attaining a perfect figure just after 5 weeks of delivering a child and looking good enough to eat when she emerged from the castle like set in a purple corset and half gown covered with tulle.

· Hot on the heels was another fabulous model Marissa Miller in an excellent black undergarment set looking totally ravishing. Presenting a diamond encrusted bra worth $3 millions she left millions of men and women drooling behind.

· The evening will also be remembered for splashy jewels and faux fur jackets and stoles which many models wore over their undergarments

· All the outfits of Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show were designed keeping in mind four themes namely the Star Trooper, Enchanted Forest, Romantic Journey and Pink Planet

In a nutshell this year’s show will be remembered for many new models and less skimpy outfits than previous years.

So really quickly, I have something to admit. I love robin ellis (sorry Janie). I was viewing the last season on dvd well into the night and she is marvelous! Recommend? I think so…
