How To Prolong Your Tan

How To Prolong Your Tan

When it comes to getting a tan, there is not much to it. Getting the tan is the simple part but keeping it is an entirely different story. There is more to it then just keeping the tan but also making sure that the tan remains healthy. The last thing you want to do is to put yourself through all of the fuss and mess of tanning only to have it fade and disappear in just a few short days or weeks. Before you even take off for tanning you are going to want to make sure that you are exfoliating your skin properly. This will make sure that you are removing the dead skin and it will help speed up your circulation.

Make sure that you are keeping yourself properly moisturized. You can find a good moisturizer in the beauty products aisle of your local grocery store. Dry skin is the worst thing for a tan, as the skin will just peel off. Make sure you put lotion on before you tan and after you tan in order to make sure that you are preventing your skin from drying out from the excess heat. Speaking of heat, you want to make sure that you are doing your best not to burn in the sun. Make sure that you are wearing sunscreen to prevent sunburns and skin cancer.

And the biggest help in making sure that your tan sticks around is that you tan only a few minutes a day. This is not only a way to make sure that your tan sticks around longer but it is also much healthier for you in the long run. The perfect sun crisp tan is not worth all of the effort if you are going to end up with dry skin, a bad tan, or worse yet, skin cancer. Make sure that you are taking all necessary precautions and you should be absolutely fine.
