How do you cope with your dry skin?


Dry skin can be a nightmare for most women: not only it looks bad but it also feels terrible.

When the oil glands don’t make enough sebum or we expose our skin for a long time to coldness, extreme heat or wind it becomes dry. Dry skin is extremely uncomfortable: it itches, hurts and feels rough.

If your skin feels dry all the time you should consider that maybe there are other reasons that cause that instead of blaming your genes or cosmetics.

Some of the things which cause dry skin are: following a low fat diet, not drinking enough water, lack of vitamins A and E, smoking, etc.

A home made remedy for dry skin is massaging your skin with honey and Aloe Vera. For your knees and elbows you can use a slice of lemon and some olive oil.

At least once a week boil some carrots, smash them and use them as a beauty mask. After 15 minutes, wash your face with glycerin soap and apply a moisturizer.

People with dry skin will have to remember not to expose their skin to extreme conditions without proper protection and always apply a moisturizer suitable for their type of skin.
